Photo Shoot Time

I have some Sunshine today, so I’m going to take my Vege patch out for some photo’s I also got myself some new Camera gear last night, so I’m going totake a few of my models out for some photo’s nothing newly painted but I’ll post em up if they turn out good anyway.

Too Cloudy…

So it’s not sunny in the slightest outside at the moment so I won’t be getting any photo’s of my vege patch outside today, hopefully sometime on the next few days I will get the chance.

Also for those interested the walls are Extruded foam, the stone work was carved? I’ll say carved.. with a pencil.

Literally just finished my Vege Patch, I’m so happy with it, the first 2 pics show the stone work nicely and the third is a top down of the patch, you can still see the glue wet glue :)

The paint work needs some touch ups but it’s otherwise complete, I may get it out in some sunshine for some better pictures when I get a chance.

WIP Shot of my farm house, this is the first field awaiting some paint, once I’ve finished this it’ll be onto the wheat field which is the one next to this, then the farm house itself, which is all cut out ready for action.

So, I hit 100 followers the other day (thanks to stephzag, specifically), and I’ve been thinking long and hard about what to do for you, my beloved followers. Then it hit me: I’d do a giveaway!

As the picture shows, the mini is neither particularly impressive nor valuable. But it’s definitely one of the cleaner,  more attractive colour schemes I’ve done, and I’ve always been fond of the conversion work I did on it.

So, if you want a chance at winning this mini, simply reblog this post. On June 8th, I’ll choose (with a random number generator, so it’s impartial) a winner, and the knight will be mailed off, free of charge.

Again, noble knights and damsels, thank you all very much for supporting this blog, and best of luck in the draw!

Hey cool Idea, I’m getting close to that milestone myself.

Lots of Terrain Progress

Soooo I have all my wall sections cut out, for my Farmhouse, I also go a bunch of wall sections cut out for my 3 fields, 2 are separate from the Farm House, they are a wheat field and vege patch, there will be a cow in the field next to the house.

I’ve decided to do things in part starting with the fields, I have the Vege patch ready for painting(once glue dries) then I’ll have a couple things to glue on after painting, being the plants and such once it’s done I’ll do the wheat field then the house, mainly because that way I can have the fields ready for the game board really quickly, and I haven’t figured everything out for the House as of yet.

I’ll get some pics of the first field WIP up tomorrow the I might start to paint it up.

Completely missed this one sorry!

I bought some terrain recently that used the bristles from yard brushes cut down in blocks for wheat which looks ace.

I was considering doing the same, but it looks rather fiddly to do, and after a lot of research and dead ends(just about all my searches led me to to small a scale work) I decided to go with using a coir(coco) doormat they look great.

As always cheers for the feedback!

Jeff

Thanks Guys

Just like to take a minute to say thanks to all you followers, and a big thanks to all the people giving me feedback and tips, I’m loving all the feedback, it gets me pumped to do more in my hobby and get better at it all, as you should know by now I’m always keen to answer questions so if you have any just ask away.

Thanks!

Jeff

Thanks for the Tips

Hey, my name is Jeff, weird! You can do wheat fields with a cut coco doormat, easy! Just cut to size and build a fence or wall around it.

Haha yeah that is kinda weird, That is exactly what I was going to do for the wheat field, I’m pretty excited to get the rest of the stuff I need and get constructing!

The way I’m building it 2 fields will not be connected, so the terrain piece will be easily manoeuvred so I can use it in games and such. I guess it will technically be modular. May get a start on things tonight, if not tonight then tomorrow.

A bunch of pics from the big 6V6 game.

The Empire          Orks

Wood Elves    V    Beastmen

Lizardmen           Skaven

The 2 sets of ruins and the well were all objectives which gave 50 VP to whatever side held them at the end, It was a fun game, my side won! although we only held 1 objective Steve’s wood elves absolutely tore the Orks to pieces.

some of the shots were taken by me some by Christie and some by James, I dunno whose are whose except mine are all from The Empire side of the Table.
